The Benefits of Massage Therapy for Postural Stress

Today people are spending a lot of time sitting at a desk, and it wreaks havoc on our health.  It can increase your risk of disability later in life by up to 50%.  It can also increase your risk of heart failure, diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart disease, and more.  In fact, some health experts have called sitting " the new smoking" due to its negative heath ramifications.  Fortunately, there are some easy ways to counteract the effects of sitting all day, and one of them is massage therapy.

When you receive a massage, it helps relieve the pressure on your lower spine and glutes, which bears most of the weight as a result of sitting.  This can make a big difference in helping maintain you overall health.  Scheduling a massage on a regular basis will help you to feel your best by relieving the stressfull effects of everyday life.
