With our 550 hour program, you will be qualified to take the MBLEx exam, which is required for CAMTC Certification.
Students completing the 550 hours of massage training are encouraged to sit for the MBLEx exam, which is required for CAMTC Certification.
Our 550 Hour program will enable you to take the exam in order to become a Certified Massage Therapist
Our 550 Hour course provides you with a solid foundation for becoming a successful Massage Therapist. We have just the right combination of “Basic Training” where you will learn Anatomy & Physiology along with Swedish Massage skills. This gives you a solid base knowledge that you can build on. Once ready, you start taking our Advanced Elective Classes. The elective classes are not merely lectures about or introductions to a new modality, but rather complete stand-alone courses themselves.
Most massage programs have a “one size fits all” standard curriculum that every student follows to completion. At the Massage Center, we believe that the student should be able to custom design their massage and bodywork education to meet their individual preferences and scheduling requirements.
Start building your personalized Massage Therapy Program today with our interactive Elective Class Picker.
We offer many different elective classes for you to choose at convenient times. These courses offer a very advanced level of specialized education taught by experienced instructors.
You will also gain practical experience where you get to practice what you learned at our Student Massage Center.
The 550-hour Program meets and exceeds the requirements of the California State Massage Therapist license from CAMTC (California Massage Therapy Council)
As of 12/31/2014 CAMTC will only issue licenses to students with 550 hours or more education.
At the completion of this course, the graduate will have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to give a one-hour therapeutic massage to a client with the possibility of incorporating one or more of the techniques learned in his or her choice of Elective classes.
