Melissa Brown

Position:
Instructor

My name is Melissa and  I've always had a passion for overall health and the general wellness of others. I became a certified Massage Therapist in 2005 when I graduated from the MT course at Intercoast College. During my schooling, I concentrated on Sports Therapy, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue and Post Sports Injury/Recovery where I obtained over 1000 hours of professional training. My aspirations to work with athletes lead me to a position with a local chiropractor where I administered post-injury recovery techniques and physical therapy hand in hand with the Dr. Since graduating I have worked in several different aspects of massage from Chiropractic & Sports Injury to the relaxing Day Spa Therapy atmosphere. I gained an additional 2400+ hands-on hours throughout my career and have also created two spa related businesses. I own medicated massage therapy, a mobile massage practice with a focus on CBD infusion and whole-body wellness. This also gave me the opportunity to staff three additional therapists as my practice grew. The second is a kids spa birthday party business where I offer pediatric massage and other fun spa/salon orientated services for in-home parties. I love being a massage therapist. Its varied fields have given me the opportunity to change my focus as I became interested in different modalities, as well as being able to spend the necessary time needed to raise my family!
